Rock the River Community Action Projects

This summer, in preparation for the Rock the River concert in Edmonton, sponsored by the Billy Graham foundation, youth groups in Edmonton were encouraged to participate in a project for the betterment of their community. Some youth groups participated in projects such as cleaning litter in their community, others participated with other organizations.

The Beulah Alliance Church youth group participated in a project initiated by the Edmonton Police. On the Friday night, the youth group was involved in putting together flyers that contained information intended to help residents of Edmonton keep their house less at risk for crime. The next morning, these flyers were distributed to houses in the communities of Belmead and La Perle to increase awareness for crime prevention. In this way, the youth group of Beulah Alliance took action in their community, inspired by their faith.
